USA Visa – How to schedule your appointment in the shortest possible time


Indians now pay your USA visa fee electronically. IMPS enabled

One of the basic steps in obtaining US Visa is payment of visa processing fee. Like all payments now-a-days, visa fee can be paid electronically.

Just log on to the USA governments official travel website, create your Profile and proceed to pay the fee electronically.

At present, payment of credit card/debit card option is not enabled.

However, IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) option has been enabled.

Electronic – National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) * New

Electronic – Mobile Payments – IMPS * New

Traditional – Cash – Over the Counter at DRUK Bank

Traditional – Cash – Over the Counter (AXIS Bank and Citibank)


In most cases, each visa applicant, including children, is required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee, whether a visa is issued or not.

The visa application fee is determined by the type of visa for which you wish to apply.  Remember, the MRV fee is non-refundable.

Payment of the Visa Fees electronically is beneficial and also adds value to your Visa application.

Applicants who pay via the IMPS system during regular business hours (9AM – 5PM) will be able to schedule their appointment within 3 hours. Applicants who make their payment after 6PM will be able to schedule their appointment after 9AM the next business day. Yes, you can schedule your interview within 3 hours, the shortest gap possible.

Are you the lucky one? IBPS eases eligibility norms for probationary officers’ exam

IBPS has partially modification to the Original Notification dt. 10/07/2013.

The wide-ranging changes should enable more Indian citizens to try their luck, to be part of India’s public sector banks (PSB) HR network.

As of now, these changes are only for the October 2013 written exam, for appointment as Probationary Officers and Management Trainees.

Under the changed rules, the maximum qualifying age has been changed from 28 years to 30 years, allowing a larger number of candidates to appear for the exam.

Further, according to an official release issued on Monday, the mandatory requirement of being computer literate, that is, having a degree, diploma or certificate in computers or having computers or information technology as one of the subjects in high school, has been done away with.

As the number of candidates is set to increase, the dates for registration and paying application fees have also been extended. The candidates can now register online and pay the fees online by August 17 instead of August 12 earlier, while the deadline for payment of fees (offline) has been extended to August 22 (from August 17, earlier).

The online payment can be made by using only Master/ Visa Debit or Credit cards or Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Rupay Cards and IMPS (Immediate Payment Services) is not yet activated. Payment from  eWallets too are not accepted.

Indusind Bank expands its IMPS (Immediate Payments Service) Suite

Indusind Bank has added two IMPS sub-products i.e IMPS-Merchant Payment Service and   IMPS- using Account No and IFS Code

It was in August 2011, when Indusind Bank joined the IMPS bandwagon. Approximately, after two years of it’s joining IMPS, Indusind Bank decided to add two more IMPS sub-products.

To encourage its account holders to njoy the IMPS benefits, it has decided to reward those account holders who use IMPS through their mobiles.

As the rewards program has been launched from Day 1, this additional feature should be an added advantage for Indusind Bank customers to try out IMPS

This year the PayExpo Award winners will be announced on 18th June2013 in London.

The shortlisting is under the category of ‘Most Successful Payment Partnership of 2013’ for having created IMPS – a unique ecosystem for instant money remittance among 56 member banks.

More about ‘Most successful payment partnership of 2013’:  The award recognises the solution partner and merchant that has launched a successful payment channel partnership in the last 12 months.  The award will take into account the service user-adoption, duration and innovation.

Apart from NPCI_IMPS, the other two contenders for the title are:-

Nominations should be submitted before 5pm on Friday 26th April. The shortlist for each category will be decided by  PayExpo Advisory board and then announced Monday 6th May.

The shortlist will then be open from Monday 20th May to Friday 31st May to the international community of payment senior professionals to vote which nominee should win their category.

The winner of each award, as chosen by the payment industry will be announced live at PayExpo 2013 on Tuesday 18th June to the entire event delegation.

India Rail’s SMS based booking from July 01st, 2013, will showcase the full potential of Immediate Payment Service. As the launch is preceded by a grand publicity campaign, the number of trail users is expected to be high.
